CANCER AWARENESS TALK – WEDNESDAY 11 SEPTEMBER
Our second cancer awareness talk was a success last night. Hosted by Adrian Smith, our local neighbourhood lead. The aim of the evening was to raise awareness of the importance of early detection of cancer. The current campaign is around lung health and seeing the GP if you have had a cough or unexplained symptoms that are concerning for more than 3 weeks. The event was attended by around 50 of our patient population and Dr Clare Reeves was also in attendance to answer patient questions. We intend to host these events on a regular basis. The event is supported by our fabulous Patient Participation Group (PPG) who are taking promotional materials out into the community encouraging patients who would not normally come to see the GP, to attend with worrying symptoms.
